    So basically this was the best pulled bbq sandwich I have had in my life. There was the perfect ratio of meat to bun to coleslaw. The coleslaw is on the top and bottom of the meat. The sandwich is so light and fresh.

    I had to go back for seconds and try the fried chicken. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. Some of the best friend chicken I have ever had. Wowza.

    Stopped in for a quick lunch. We had the pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw on them, French fries and hushpuppies and the chicken tender platter with fries, baked beans (have pork in them) and more hush puppies.
    All very good with traditional NC bbq sauce (little spicy)
    Awesome sweet tea with crushed ice

    The best fried chicken i've ever had. I've been eating at Popeyes for my entire life and I thought that the fried chicken was good there. Boy was I wrong. The crust is so crispy on this fried chicken and the white meat was actually juicy. As soon as that white meat went into my mouth it practically melted. So sad I just stopped by this place on the way home from a vacation. May not get to experience this heavenly experience again for years to come. Also service was fantastic and the prices are so unexpectedly low for the high quality of food you get.

    Amazing!!! Super clean and very fast! I just found out I have celiac and am dairy free and they were happy to accommodate. I ordered the bbq plate with coleslaw and potato salad! Sooo yummy! The manager was super helpful and very active in assisting the staff! I'll be back!!

    Delicious! I stopped here recently and had some characteristically good Smithfield's Chicken that really hit the spot. Service is polite and efficient; the restaurant is clearly one of the most popular places in town and is normally fairly crowded but the servers keep things moving quickly.

    This is my go-to stop off I40 between Wilmington and Raleigh. There's not many places to stop, and pretty much all of them are BBQ places, of which this Smithfield's is one of the best.
